Yoga in the Northern Andes
Day 1 Yoga retreat in the Andes - Quito - Calderon - Cayambe - Peguche waterfall - Otavalo indian market - Cotacachi
We head north from Quito and visit the town of Calderon where we learn the process of making dough figures, we stop at the Equator line just before visiting the town of Cayambe, where we will share biscuits and cheese. We will then head to the town of Peguche home of the sacred waterfall, here we will practice Yoga with a local master and bathe in the rejuvenating waters considered sacred by local shamans. We will then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.We arrive at the Otavalo market, here we can experience the most important indigenous trade gathering in South America. We will learn to bargain for ponchos, sweaters, and local handcrafted goods. Check in at the Lueva spa and retreat center, here you can decide to have spa treatment or relax by the pool. We will spend the night at our retreat center.

Day 2 Yoga retreat in the Andes - Cotacachi - Cuicocha lake - Quito
On our second day, we will enjoy an early morning Yoga or Lueva Chi session. We will visit the leather goods town of Cotacachi where there are many artisan shops. We will then drive up to the Cotacachi - Cayapas wildlife reserve and enjoy the Andean scenery around the Cuicocha lake. Upon arrival in Quito we return to our hotel. BL
