Length of the Programs: Fixed programs are of 3 Nights/ 4 Days and 4 Nights/ 5 Days, however it is possible to design longer programs. Shorter programs are not advised due to the traveling time required to reach the region.
The Sinchi Sacha Foundation (Powerful Jungle in the Quichua language), a private non-profit organization, whose mission is to promote sustainable development through social reassessment of cultural wealth, through the support of artisan production, the development of community ecotourism, environmental education and the strengthening of the civil society, have developed a different alternative to visit and learn more about the cultural and natural wealth of the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest.
The whole complex has:
The main cabaña which is built on the summit of a 25mts. high hill. This cabaña has a beautiful 10 mts. observation tower from where you can admire the beauty of the tropical rainforest.
One cabaña for accommodations distributed in ten double rooms each one with two low beds and each bed with a mosquito net.
One cabaña built on stilts, with roof and with the hammocks.
Shared bathrooms and showers in a separate cabaña
Dinning and living rooms are located in the main cabaña
Activities:
Activities include hikes through the rainforest, canoe rides through Amazon rivers, visit to a native family and participation of local activities, visit the Amazon Cultures Interpretation Center and natural caves and petroglyphs all focused on the knowledge of the natural history of the rainforest as well as the richness of the Amazon cultures. Excellent chances for bird-watching from a beautiful observation tower.
All activities led by native guides and expert bilingual naturalist guides.
