QUITO – SALINAS DE BOLÍVAR – RIOBAMBA – CUENCA – QUITO
We will travel to the south of Ecuador. We will pass by towering, snow-capped Chimborazo Mountain, at an elevation of 6.310 m. (20.697 ft.) (Ecuador’s highest point), on our way to visit to the community of Salinas de Bolívar, famous for its micro-enterprises; Riobamba, with its old streets and plazas. From there, we will depart on an incredible adventure on the Andean train through the Devil’s Nose, an engineering masterpiece.
We will later visit the Archaeological Ruins of Ingapirca, legacy of the Inca-Cañari civilization. Arrival in Cuenca, declared by the UNESCO in 1999 as a Cultural Heritage of Mankind, one of the most beautiful and well-preserved colonial cities of Ecuador
